The Netherhall residential estate owners (title holders) collectively own a 2.5acre woodland created in the 90's by Barratts of Scotland when the development moved from a solely owned estate to a residential estate.
It is there for all owners to share and enjoy, and is kept open by the owners for the public, who use our site entirely at their own risk.
A lot of people are genuinely unaware that Netherhall woodland is not public property. It is private.
The general public are also unaware, that it is the pocket of every person who lives on the estate that finances any required actions to maintain the woodland footprint.
There are no plans to restrict public access to our woodland, and public users should refresh themselves with the principles of the outdoor code for Scotland, as this applies within the footprint.
To help us protect our woodland and to help others enjoy this unique space, we need a little help from you along the way.
- Please take your litter with you. There are a variety of public bins within 200meters of every entrance.
- Dispose of your dog mess in bags and remove from our woodland. Filled dog mess bags left in our woods is litter. Nobody is cleaning up after you. it will just sit there, polluting the environment. There are dog mess bins with 200meters from each entrance.
- Respect the woodland. Take pictures, make memories and leave nothing but foot prints.
